The most valuable lesson I have learnt so far in the past 2 years is becoming aware that there is no shame to talk about your feelings and mental health.
The more I share my story and experience (past and present), the more I become familiar with my emotions and know that I am not alone.
To be able to support Rebecca Di Noia’s social enterprise, Happy Mind Conversations along with relationship counsellor Cynthia Nathan has allowed us as inter-generations to share with the community that starting a conversation about mental health and sharing experiences allows us to express and learn rather than suppress and deny ourselves and our relationship with family and friends.
We had the pleasure to be featured on Women With Altitude’s Brave podcast and to openly share and speak about mental health stigma in our cultural upbringing with Andrea Turner-Boys.
